Movie Industry in New Zealand Is Thriving 

The movie industry is thriving in New Zealand as film crews from around the world travel to the scenic island nation to film their next big hit, safe from the global Covid-19 pandemic. As one Kiwi film director explained, New Zealand's film industry is fortunate to be "isolated from rest of the world" and to have a government that has been very supportive of New Zealand's movie industry. He said that thousands of people are working in New Zealand's film industry and there is unlimited work in the "Hollywood of the Pacific." Another director said that he was lucky to have selected New Zealand as his movie production location years ago since New Zealand has had one of the world's best responses to the pandemic and they have been able to film the sequel to their previous blockbuster in a safe environment.
