Economy Creates 916,000 New Jobs in the USA

America's economy accelerated its recovery by creating 917,000 new jobs in the USA during March 2021, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This follows 468,000 US jobs that were added in February and 233,000 workers who were hired in January. The massive increase in US employment during March was the biggest hiring surge since August 2020. According to the BLS, the US unemployment rate fell to 6 percent as more companies re-opened and employers hired thousands of workers to fill various US job vacancies. The ADP payroll service also reported that 517,000 of the US jobs filled in March were in the private sector. The hospitality and leisure sector added 280,000 jobs in America, public and private schools hired 190,000 people, and 100,000 US jobs were filled in the construction industry.
